February 8, 1921

Willard Marshall was a three-time All-Star for the New York Giants and slugged 36 home runs in 1947. He came to the Reds via the Boston Braves in 1952 and put up solid numbers, then was traded after the 1953 season to the Chicago White Sox for Rocky Krsnich, Saul Rogovin, and Connie Ryan.
