2011 Fan Pack Challenge: Oakland Raiders

It has been a while since I received a fan pack, but it’s always a nice surprise to find a big envelope in the mailbox. The Oakland Raiders didn’t send a schedule, but they sent a nice shiny page of stickers and a window sticker, a black & white photo of the team with “happy holidays” written underneath, and a folder. But it’s not a pocket folder, nor a hanging folder. I’m not really sure what I can do with this particular folder. Oh well.

Here’s their score:
The inclusion of pocket schedule(s) = 0 points
Stickers = 5
Football cards = 0
High-quality promotional items = 1 (folder)
Other stuff = 1 (b&w team “happy holidays” photocopy)
Timeliness = 0
TOTAL SCORE = 7 POINTS

2011 Ex-Bengals (’86 Style): T.J. Houshmandzadeh

The Oakland Raiders brought in one of Carson Palmer‘s old buddies, signing former Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Will it be enough to bring Palmer back to his former glory? Only time will tell if these old friends can reignite their careers on the west coast.

2011 Ex-Bengals (’86 Style): Carson Palmer

Mike Brown changed his mind today, dealing disgruntled QB Carson Palmer to the Oakland Raiders for draft picks. Does this make Mike a genius or a liar?

According to the Raiders’ Facebook page, Palmer will wear #3.

At least, not as far as I can determine. Read the rest of this entry
