Mitchell

…pop up.

Kevin Mitchell joined the Reds in 1993, and I’m actually not sure he popped up very often in Cincinnati. He hit .333 in his first two years with the Reds, while slugging 49 homers and driving in 141 runs. He even got a handful of votes in the 1994 NL MVP race.

The catcher is Mitchell’s former teammate Kirt Manwaring, who was a fantastic TTM signer back in the day.

The card comes from Upper Deck’s 1993 “Fun Set.” I don’t think a pop up is very much fun, though.
