Fun Cards: “Baseball Immortals” Bullet Rogan


Bullet Rogan‘s baseball career began in the military, playing for the 25th Infantry Wreckers from 1914-1920. He joined the Kansas City Monarchs in 1920 and was immediately recognized as one of the best players in the Negro Leagues. He stayed with Kansas City until 1938, serving as the team’s manager from 1926-1934 and in 1936. Rogan took part in baseball’s first night game in 1930, more than five years before the Reds hosted the Phillies in MLB’s first night game.
