Happy Reds birthday, Bill Bergen!

BergenJune 13, 1878

Bill Bergen started his big league career in Cincinnati in 1901, spending three seasons with the Reds. He collected 160 in 837 at-bats for a .191 average. The Brooklyn Superbas purchased him in 1904, and in eight additional years, his career batting average dropped to .170. Dude must have been a sick defensive catcher.
