Happy Reds birthday, Whitey Moore!

June 10, 1912

Whitey Moore started 60 of the 124 games he pitched for the Reds from 1936-1942. His Cincinnati record was 30-28, with a 3.74 ERA and 228 strikeouts. The Reds sent him to the Cardinals in May, 1942, for Clyde Shoun and cash. He would finish out the season in St. Louis and never pitch in the majors again.
