Happy Reds birthday, Darnell Coles!

Coles

June 2, 1962

Darnell Coles had the longest big league career (14 years) of any graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Rialto, California, but he also had the lowest career WAR (-1.4). Dennis Blair (4 years, 3.8 WAR) and Dave Rucker (7 years, 0.5 WAR) are the only other Ike grads to make the majors. (By the way, I don’t know if they are called the Ikes; I just made that up).
