Happy Reds birthday, Joe Nolan!

Joe Nolan

May 12, 1951

The man whose baseball card appalled the Night Owl in 1979, Joe Nolan played ball until he was 34 years old. He made his debut in 1972, appearing in four games for the Mets, but did not make it back to the majors until 1975 with the Braves for another four games. He spent 1976 in the minors, then came back up to Atlanta in 1979. He spent part of 1980 and all of 1981 with the Reds, hitting .310 in 390 at-bats.
