Happy Reds birthday, Francisco Cordero!

May 11, 1975

Francisco Cordero saved 329 games in his career, which ranks 15th on the all-time list. Ahead of him are several other former Reds, including Lee Smith (#3), John Franco (#5), Jeff Reardon (#10), and Randy Myers (#12). Trevor Hoffman (#2) was once in the Reds system, but never played in the big leagues for Cincinnati; Rollie Fingers (#13) nearly joined the Reds in the 1980s, but declined because of the team’s facial hair policy; John Wetteland (#14) was a member of the Reds for a few weeks during the offseason in 1991.
