Happy Reds birthday, Brandon Claussen!

May 1, 1979

Brandon Claussen was well-traveled, even before his pro baseball career began. Born in South Dakota, he went to high school in Roswell, New Mexico, and college in Big Spring, Texas. Claussen was drafted in the 34th round by the Yankees in 1998, and his pro career took him through North Carolina, Florida, Connecticut, and Kentucky, as well as big league stops in the Bronx and Cincinnati.
