Happy Reds birthday, Brennan Boesch!

Brennan Boesch

April 12, 1985

According to his 2007 Bowman baseball card, Brennan Boesch “was regarded among the top 25 prep prospects in the nation, according to Baseball America.” During his first three seasons with the Tigers, Boesch showed potential with some pop, hitting 42 home runs and driving in 175 runs in 380 games. It seems he left his talent in Detroit, however, as he was only able to muster six more dingers in three additional season for the Yankees, Angels, and Reds. Boesch has not played in the big leagues since 2015. He was last seen in the outfield in Pawtucket, the AAA affiliate of the Red Sox.
