Happy Reds birthday, Paul Wilson!

March 28, 1973

Paul Wilson was the first overall pick of the 1994 draft for the New York Mets, selected ahead of Nomar Garciaparra, Paul Konerko, and Jason Varitek. After one season with the Mets in 1996, Wilson didn’t make it back to the bigs until 2000 with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He stayed there for three years, then finished his career pitching three seasons with the Reds.
