Happy Reds birthday, Tim Pugh!

January 26, 1967

Tim Pugh was involved in a tug-of-war match between the Reds and Royals in 1996. He started the season with the Reds, appearing in nine games before the Royals claimed him off waivers. He pitched in 14 games for Kansas City between May 11 and July 5, and the Reds decided they missed him, claiming him off waivers on July 8. His return to Cincinnati only lasted four days, and he didn’t even get into a game before the Royals snatched him back. He then pitched five more games for the Royals, but the season wasn’t over yet. The Reds once again claimed him off waivers on August 15, and Pugh appeared in one last game in 1996 for the Reds.

To recap, in 1996, Pugh went from the Reds to the Royals to the Reds to the Royals to the Reds.
