Happy Reds birthday, Dan Serafini!

Serafini

January 25, 1974

Dan Serafini was a first round draft pick for the Twins in 1992; after a few years with the Twins, he did quite a bit of moving around, playing for the Cubs, Padres, Pirates, Reds, and Rockies in the big leagues, in addition to time in the minor league systems of the Mets, Giants, Brewers, and Cardinals, and a few seasons in the Mexican Winter League and Japan. One of the most interesting things about Serafini happened over a decade ago, and he actually had nothing to do with it. There was a blog called Serafini Says, and the writer was contacted by the Twins radio affiliate WCCO. They thought he was Serafini, and requested an interview. He decided to have a little fun, and you can read about his little prank here.
