Happy Reds birthday, Marty Brown!


January 23, 1963

Marty Brown is a baseball lifer. He only played 35 games at the big league level over the course of three seasons for the Reds and Orioles, and three seasons for Hiroshima Toyo Carp in the Japan Central League. He began managing in the Pirates minor league system in 1997, then spent some time in Japan and in the Blue Jays managerial ranks as well. As of 2015, the Nationals employed Brown as the director of Pacific Rim scouting.
