Happy Reds birthday, Greg Swindell!

January 2, 1965

Greg Swindell was the second overall pick of the 1986 draft, and wasted no time getting to the big league level for the Cleveland Indians. He pitched in Cleveland for six years and made one All-Star appearance for the Tribe. The Reds acquired the southpaw for the 1992 season, when he won 12 games and posted a 2.70 ERA. In addition to the Indians and Reds, Swindell also pitched for the Astros, Twins, Red Sox, and Diamondbacks.
