Fun Cards Submission: 2013 Topps Joey Votto (World Baseball Classic)
A couple more “fun cards” from TWJ reader contributor Patrick, featuring Joey Votto for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic. The above card would be the standard issue, while the alternate photo below would be the SSP version. I remember when I saw the video of the Canada vs. Mexico fight, I was looking for Votto and hoping he had stayed in the dugout. No, he was out on the field with the other ruffians, but I don’t believe he really jumped into the fray.
I really like Team Canada’s logo. Of all the WBC logos I have seen, Canada is my favorite. Or, as they would say, favourite.
