Is Katy Perry’s video pro-violence?

A writer (who will remain nameless, because she doesn’t deserve the attention) has called Katy Perry’s most recent music video “a total piece of propaganda for the Marines” and “glorification of violence.” Really?

The best response comes from publicist Angie Meyer, in a quote to Fox411.com:

(That writer) is a living, breathing contradiction. Her anti-military sentiments against the men and women fighting to defend the freedoms she exercises regularly, speech and protest, is absurd and disturbingly disgraceful. What an enormous slap in the face for our servicemen and women. (That writer)’s blatant disrespect for the United States Military, and her political irreverence should be completely disregarded, and her rants and writings, boycotted.
