Happy birthday Freema Agyeman!

David Tennant and Freema Agyeman with the TARDIS

There have been way too many “R.I.P.” posts on The Writer’s Journey. So today I would like to say “Happy 33rd Birthday” to Freema Agyeman, better known to Whovians as Martha Jones. One of the tenth Doctor’s companions, Freema was a regular on “Doctor Who” with David Tennant from 2007-2008, and returned in 2010 for one episode. Of all the companions that have traveled with the Doctor in the new series, Martha has been my personal favorite, though I am starting to warm up to Amy Pond a bit.

“Doctor Who” is available as a streaming title on Netflix beginning with the 2005 reboot starring Christopher Eccleston, and going through the sixth season with Matt Smith. Several of the older “Doctor Who” episodes and specials are also currently streaming.
