What a game!!!

It was Joey Votto bobblehead night at GABP, and I took the whole family down to the game. We ended up with standing-room only tickets, purchased Thursday. My wife and I went to the park on Monday to try to buy $5 or $8 seats, but the cheapest they had left at that time were $34 each. I like Reds games, but that’s just ridiculous money in my mind. We checked StubHub several times, but finally decided on the SRO tickets.

The Reds played the Marlins, and here is your Marlins star, Mike Stanton

Edinson Volquez started on the mound for Cincinnati. I don’t know how I’ve been (un)lucky enough to see Volq pitch twice already this season…I’ve only gone to three games! Amazingly, he only gave up 1 run.

Here’s a cool shot of the park from left-center.

Jay Bruce hauling one in.

CHAPMANIA! This was the first time I got to see Aroldis Chapman live…and I wasn’t the only one snapping like crazy. The flashbulbs were going off all over the place! I took 179 photos total tonight…44 of them were of Chapman. Yeah, I got the fever.

Even Snoop came out to see the Cuban Missile pitch!

The game attendance is sponsored by Topps. I wonder if that’s what Jonny Gomes card will look like in series 2?

In the 8th inning, the Reds tied up the game, and we were reminded to “Make Some Noise” by the scoreboard graphics…

When the 10th inning rolled around, Edgar Renteria pinch hit for Francisco Cordero and drove in Gomes for the winning run.

Finally, it was time to come home. What a great game, and I even got a Votto bobblehead! He is already in his spot at home, along with Bruce, Chris Sabo, and various other bobbleheads and collectibles.

  1. Sabo better watch out – Battle Armor Skeletor looks like he’s up to no good!

Great game to go to – didn’t know it was Votto bobblehead night! That makes me miss living in Ohio, I’d have been there if I still lived in Columbus.

This is where you talk...
