Day 1 of the 30 Day Horror Challenge

Day 01 – A horror film that no one would expect you to love, but you do…

That’s right, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (the 2010 remake) is the first film to make the cut. I didn’t even expect to love this one, but Jackie Earle Haley‘s spin on the character of Freddy Krueger and the backstory of the daycare made the movie fresh in my mind. Too bad the remake of Friday The 13th couldn’t do the same for that franchise.

  1. I agree! This is the most under-rated horror movie of all time… Jackie earle Hayley is an awesome Freddy!

I didn’t like the Friday the 13th reboot either… heh

  2. I did like this one… when they veered away from the canon of Elm Street past, like with the daycare aspects. Hayley was an inspired choice for Krueger.

  3. I still haven’t watched this one yet, but you have inspired me to do so.

  4. It’s certainly not for everyone, and there is a lot of negativity out there about it. But I still enjoyed it…maybe because I wasn’t expecting much? Don’t know.

This is where you talk...
