2009 Topps Pedro Borbon

This 2010 Reds Hall of Famer lives in Texas according to Wikipedia, but he’ll be in Cincinnati in two weeks for the Redsfest. He pitched for the Reds from 1970-1979, pitching mostly in relief (he made only 4 starts in 531 appearances), and was a big but overlooked part of the Big Red Machine. It’s nice to see the Reds finally honoring him for his contributions to the team.

Back to Redsfest, that page I linked up there says that if you follow @CincinnatiReds on Twitter, you’ll know which players will be at which booths an hour ahead of time. I am going to try to get Eric Davis this year, but I am only going to be at the convention on Friday, so I set up to receive @CincinnatiReds on my cell phone as a text message in hopes that I can get near the front of the line. I can’t wait!
