George Foster…no Sox cards!

Back in August, I wrote this post about the connection between the Reds and White Sox after “The Kid” got traded. I mentioned that I had never seen a photo of George Foster in a ChiSox uniform. George Foster White SoxAnd I still haven’t. Paul Lukas offered no assistance, and Google searches come up empty every time.

I have issued a challenge to Punk Rock Paint now to find an image and create a Foster White Sox card as a part of his “Shoulda Been Sundays” series. Is he up to the challenge? Does he have limitless resources? Only time will tell…

But even if he cannot locate a photo of Foster wearing the black and white (or is that navy blue and red and gray in 1986?), Punk Rock Paint is still an awesome blog.

Another awesome new blog is Goose Joak. It’s a “Fantasy Baseball Card Blog” featuring current players on old cards and vice versa, much like my feeble “Fun Card” attempts of the days of yore.

If you haven’t visited these sites yet, you owe it to yourself to do so today…and tomorrow…and the day after…and the day after…etc.
