Fun Cards Submission: 1989 Fleer Dave Concepcion
Patrick decided to take another crack at making a Dave Concepcion card with the Angels, this time using the 1989 Fleer design. Personally, I love 1989 Fleer…not as much as 1987, but it’s still pretty great.

Did Concepcion coach for the Angels? I know he only played for the Reds, and baseball reference didn’t have any info about him with the Angels.
After he was let go by the Reds following the 1988 season, the Angels invited him to Spring Training in 1989. He did not make the team and retired as a lifetime Red.
Wow, I had no idea! Thanks for the info! It’s really odd to see him in a uniform other than the Reds.
