2009 Bengals (‘87 Style): Mike Zimmer

I’m not a big football fan, but it’s hard not to get caught up in Who Dey Madness right now in Cincinnati. A 4-2 start is unbelievable for the Bengals. Lombardi Trophy, here we come!

Mike Zimmer, defensive coordinator for the Cardiac Cats, unexpectedly lost his wife Vicki less than two weeks ago at the age of 50. The Bengals went out and beat the Baltimore Ravens just a few days later, and Zimmer was given the game ball. Defensive coordinators usually don’t get a football card, but I thought it would be cool for Zimmer to have his own card. He has done a great job with the Bengals defense so far this year.

I’ve got several other Bengals that I’ll be posting over the next few days, so keep an eye out.
