Am I the only one who absolutely loves the schedules that are done up in the style of baseball cards? I think it was the Tigers that did it last year as well. If it were up to me, every team would have a schedule designed like this. Just spectacular. Detroit also sent along a nice b&w photo of Granderson, which I will call a baseball card for the purposes of this experiment, and a magnet. Yes, a magnet. Kinda cool, actually. There was also a “fact sheet” included in the package which lists the Tigers’ record for each of their playoff seasons, all of the Tigers in the Hall of Fame, and some other trivia about the team.

Ranking the pack:
Pocket schedules: 1 point (1 schedules)
Stickers: 0
Baseball cards: 1 (Curtis Granderson)
Other high-quality goodies: 1 (Joel Zumaya magnet)
Other stuff: 1 (Fact sheet) + 1 (for the coolness of the schedule)
Timeliness: 8 (received July 11)
Total score for the Tigers: 13

Yes, those are great. Even better, game tickets done in the style of cards from years past. I went to Friday’s game and the tickets were Brandon Inge in the style of 1984 Topps card. It brought back the memories !
Definitely a nice look for a schedule! I’d certainly pick up a few when I saw them if this was how they all looked.
