Joe from Cardboard Addiction and I were recently exchanging pleasantries in an electronic fashion, and he mentioned that I may be the only Kurt Stillwell collector in existence. Can it be true? Am I the only one who actively seeks out and purchases Kurt Stillwell cards? It’s possible, I’m sure, but I have a feeling [...]

Several card bloggers have taken a crack at the questions asked by Dinged Corners, so I figured I would step up to the plate and take a swing…

Why should I enter a contest to prove what I already know? I collect baseball cards, read comic books, watch cheesy horror movies, and have a ton of Star Wars toys. Yes, I am a huge loser. I’m 99.9% sure that I am the biggest loser where I work.
Oh wait. That’s not what they’re talking [...]

“Big Klu” is one of the players that my dad told me about growing up. He was there before Rose, Bench, Perez and the rest of the Big Red Machine. Kluszewski had some monster years for the Reds, but was unable to put up the type of career numbers that would land him in Cooperstown.

Too busy at work tonight to concentrate on writing, so I worked on things that didn’t taken as much focus…fun cards! Or is that just an excuse? Meh. Who knows.
I’m not a big fan of Manny Ramirez, but I came across this photo earlier tonight and just thought it was cool. Too bad it’s in [...]

Mattingly was one of the superstars of the late 1980s. It was always a highlight when Donnie Baseball could be found in a pack of cards picked up at the local convenience store. It’s a travesty that this man is not enshrined in Cooperstown.

I got some 2007 UD Masterpieces for Christmas, and I really like these cards. However, in four retail boxes I was unable to complete a set and got a ton of doubles. So, here are the cards I need:
42 Tony Gwynn/Cal Ripken Jr., 55 Cal Ripken Jr., 68 Akinori Iwanmura, 82 Tim Lincecum, 88 Chase [...]

I started this blog a little over a year ago, not really sure where it was going to take me or what I was going to do with it. At the time, I had 58 pages written in my novel. Today, just over a year later, I have 74 pages (and that was back in [...]

It’s been years since I’ve heard this song. Probably years since I’ve heard anything by the singer. But it popped into my head this morning, and I just had to YouTube it to get it out of my head. Like that will help.
