Reagan on healthcare

  1. Comment on that blog:

What about the proposed Obama health plan, without a mandate? Adult Americans have the choice to participate or not.

    Just an observation.

  2. Don’t we already have the option to purchase health insurance?

  3. The argument, of course, is that however-many-million Americans haven’t because they can’t afford it. Having the government step in will make insurance cheaper, or so goes the argument.

The second half of the argument is something about how indirect costs from uninsured Americans upon the health care industry is, in total, more than the direct costs would be for a single-payer or similar system.

  4. Nice website, I stumbled on it while doing research on an article I was writing as a way to avoid working on my book. I got a kick out of your explanation of how your website got started and what it has turned out to be.
